Video of editing a BigBlueButton recording using Popcorn Maker

Popcorn Maker is a web-based tool for remixing web content to create interactive web pages.

The BigBlueButton project has been using Popcorn.js for syncronized playback of the
the audio, slides, chat, and video in a BigBlueButton recording. Popconrn.js is our HTML5 playback engine.

Last weekend at the Mozilla Ignite Hackanooga, David Siefried, a developer on Popcorn Maker, created a prototype integration of BigBlueButton and Popcorn Maker. We created this video to demonstrate how you could use Popcorn Maker to edit BigBlueButton recording and link in related web content.

The code for this prototype integration is in David’s GitHub account.

This is still a prototype, but Popcorn Maker is allowing explore editing and remixing BigBlueButton’s recorded content in ways you can’t do with a single video file.
