Three members from the BigBlueButton project — Fred Dixon, Ryan Seys, and Calvin Walton — are traveling to Chattanooga, Tennessee to participate in Hackanooga, a hack fest sponsored by Mozilla (and others) to create applications that leverage the power of Chattanooga’s Gigabit network.
The hack fest starts Friday, September 14, at 6PM and goes to Sunday, September 16, at 9PM. The team members are going to work on four hacks
- Standalone HD Video Chat application
- Integrated HTML5 client
- Output recorded video, audio, and slides to Popcorn Maker
- Broadcast audio to HTML5 client
the details of which are are outlined on the Hackfest wiki. We hope to have demos of each ready by end of the hack fest. Sleep is optional.
